It is the desire of the AMA to create a mediation community, where mediators can share stories, ask questions and get feed back on relevant issues. The concept could involve mediators writing about their experiences, and situations which have come up.
Those of us who blog about alternative dispute resolution--mediation, arbitration, conflict resolution, negotiation, or innovations in the practice of law--are a rapidly growing community. This web space has been created as a place to bring us all together.
The AMA’s official blog is www.mediatorblog.blogspot.com. This blog was created to encourage mutual exploration of, and to educate the public about, mediation, conflict resolution, and other collaborative, interest-based processes. It is also bears the distinction of being the world's first Australian mediation blog.
The AMA is dedicated to raising awareness among conflict resolution professionals, scholars, students, and advocates of the value of blogging.
Blogging, after all, is an ideal medium for sharing ideas, transmitting knowledge, engaging in dialogue, and connecting with others in our field. Our hope is to ultimately see blogging capture the imagination of conflict resolvers in the way it has for other professions and endeavors.
To become involved in this project go to www.mediationblog.blogspot.com and create your own blog or simply enjoy the information, news, and commentary (not to mention the occasional offbeat story) on mediation, negotiation, law, and conflict management.
